Golf Tourism
Dear [firstname]

As Australia slowly comes out of lockdown and golfers start to wipe the cobwebs off the clubs we know that many of you are eager to pack the clubs and look at planning your next golf travel adventure.

Here at Golf Tourism Australia we have been using this downtime as an opportunity to rebrand our image, develop a new and improved website and put together exciting new packages & events to many golf destinations in Australia and around the world.

Special thanks to Scott Booth and his team & Night & Day Communications for a wonderful job in designing our new company logo & website.

Travel restrictions unfortunately will be with us for a little while longer. Domestic travel within Australia & New Zealand will be back well before we can travel abroad. This has not stopped golfers forward planning their golf trips. We have numerous groups already booked in for the popular October / November months.

The Mornington Peninsula is considered Australia’s premium golf travel destination and can be favourably compared to some of the finest golf travel destinations in the world. There is an abundance of great golf courses and stunning coastal views. Combine this with a vibrant wine industry and you have the ingredients of a perfect golf travel experience.

A number of new golf course redevelopments in the region have occurred in the past 6 months. Both the North & South courses at Peninsula Kingswood have been totally redesigned by OCM Golf as well as the Ocean Course at The National now renamed The Gunnamatta Course designed by well renowned architect Tom Doak. The Mornington Peninsula is now home to 6 of the top 20 courses in Australia.

It’s no wonder that Golf Tourism Australia calls the Mornington Peninsula home.

Check out our dedicated micro website to The Mornington Peninsula for a full array of travel packages.

It is anticipated that the opportunity to travel outside of Australia & New Zealand is a good 12-18 months away and this maybe further restricted to countries that have performed well in dealing with Covid-19.

One country that has done exceptionally well is Vietnam. As of 11 May Vietnam has reported only 288 confirmed cases of Covid 19 with 0 deaths. This makes Vietnam one of the prime countries to be called “Covid Safe” allowing for greater opportunities for international visits.

Danang is the top golf destination in Vietnam and Danang’s golf courses are already some of the best in Vietnam and are as good as any to be found anywhere in Asia. Plan to include a few days in Danang or nearby Hoi An on your golf tour or golf holiday in Vietnam. It is the halfway point of the north between Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, with famous beaches on its doorstep such as Lang Co Beach and China Beach and all of the golf courses are within easy reach of the city.

Check out our dedicated new micro website to Vietnam for a full array of travel packages.

Golf Tourism Australia hosted 350 golfers to the 2019 Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne back in December via the Official Tournament Travel Packages. The event was a huge success judging by the amount of feedback we received.

For the first time, the Presidents Cup will now travel to Quail Hollow Club for the 14th playing. From September 30 - October 3 2021, Charlotte, North Carolina, will host the world’s best players and fans from around the globe as the International Team and United States Team battle it out for the cup.

Golf Tourism Australia will once again be offering Official Tournament Travel Packages as well as an escorted tour to the event.
